Art, Music, Attitude and tales of Awesomeness-
June 20th, 2008MusicA triple whammy of awesome songs were played in a row of Sirius Satellite Radio’s Ch. 29, The Punk Channel, this morning on my drive in to work at 6:15am. These songs were:
“God Save the Queen” Sex Pistols
“Seneca Falls” The Distillers
“Teenagers From Mars” The Misfits.I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning due to the terrible week I’ve had, especially a stressful day yesterday and the very loud thunderstorm here in the Ozarks last nite. Driving to work in nasty weather and hearing these songs this morning was the therapy I needed.
On a Sirius programming note, can Ch. 21, AltNation, please quit with the Coldplay already? I don’t know how much money their record company has given you to whore out their new album, but I swear. If I hear one more fucking Coldplay song, I’m going to go Elvis-style and bust a cap in my radio or something. I’m not exaggerting when I say that they’ve played a Coldplay song every 20minutes and some times back-to-back songs at that!
TGIF, yo. That’s pretty much all I have to say.
Also, I’ve been a bit frustrated with the current state of my hair. It’s the longest it’s been in years and is in need of a summer revamp, problem is that I don’t have the bank to finance a trip to my favorite salon any time soon. A visit to Sally’s might be on the horizon, but I’ve steered clear because I know that I’ll walk out of there with some 40 developer, Wellalite and a jar of Manic Panic (I’ve never done purple before…) Ugh. We’ll see. Of course, I’m trying to primp in prep. for Warped which is in 11 days. That little punk rock kid inside you never leaves, ever, and for that I’m grateful.
